Our Story

Megan, founder of Nuxia

It started with a comment in a meeting.

I've fidgeted my whole life. Pens, hair ties, the edge of my sleeve. My hands just need somewhere to go, especially when I'm trying to focus.

A few years ago, I brought a little rubber pea pod fidget toy to work. During a team meeting, my supervisor picked it up, looked at it for a few seconds, handed it back and said: "that's sad."

I laughed it off. Then I spent the rest of the meeting with my hands under the table.

So I went looking for a fidget I could wear to work. Every spinner ring I tried looked like a toy, felt chunky, or stopped spinning after a week. None of them looked like something I'd actually choose to wear.

That's how the Twirl Ring was born: a slim band of stones that spins all the way around with one thumb. It looks like real jewelry, so nobody sees a fidget.

The first week I wore it, that same supervisor asked me where I got it.

Same habit. Different verdict. That's when I knew other women needed this too.

Today, Nuxia makes little things that make everyday life a bit easier, starting with the ring I wish I'd had in that meeting.
